SAN FRANCISCO — On the heels of helping Apache Design Solutions Inc. with its March IPO filing, attorneys from O’Melveny & Myers guided the company through its sale to Ansys Inc.

Ansys, based in Canonsburg, Pa., agreed to pay Apache about $310 million in cash. The deal was announced today. Apache had planned to raise up to $75 million in its IPO.
