The Fourth Appellate District granted a petition for writ of mandate and ordered that a dependency court placement order be vacated. The court held that the dependency court abused its discretion in authorizing the placement of minor siblings with the best friend of the siblings’ mother when there was no potential for reunification.
Fourteen-month old Aiden T. died of starvation and dehydration while in the care of his parents, Ashley and Michael T. Ashley and Michael were living with Michael’s parents in Sacramento when Aiden died.
