SACRAMENTO — California’s trial courts would lose almost 9 percent of their funding this year and more than 15 percent next year under budget recommendations made by the Administrative Office of the Courts.
The recommendations, detailed in a complex 20-page document sent by the AOC to a handful of trial court judges and appellate justices, offer a road map for dealing with the $350 million in budget cuts handed down by the state since March.
