Joel Friley has rejoined Morrison & Foerster as a partner. Friley, who was most recently at MacLeod Dixon in Calgary, Canada, focuses on project finance and has an extensive background in large energy and infrastructure projects. He received his LL.B. from Dalhousie University in Nova Scotia, Canada, in 1980.
Reed Smith has added Tom Ara as a partner in the firm’s Century City office. Ara, who was previously at Manatt, Phelps & Phillips, is a member of the corporate and securities group and advises clients at all stages of feature film, television and new media development, production and distribution. He graduated in 1999 from Loyola Law School.
