President Obama has faced criticism for the slow pace of federal judicial appointments, but he’s already left an indelible mark on the Bay Area district court bench.
The president has already placed four judges on the Northern District bench and is likely to fill three more seats by the end of his term — far surpassing President George W. Bush’s total of one in eight years and nearly matching President Bill Clinton’s eight judges over the course of two terms.
