The Fourth Appellate District affirmed a dependency court order and denied motions to dismiss an appeal and take additional evidence. The court held that its prior reversal of the dependency court’s jurisdictional/dispositional order divested the dependency court of jurisdiction to grant any further motions by the parties to that case.

In May 2009, a dependency petition was filed as to six-month old C.F., based on suspicious injuries. After hearing, the dependency court issued an order sustaining an allegation of failure to protect.
