SACRAMENTO — The Consumer Attorneys of California have endorsed a broad framework for a statewide deal that would raise revenues for trial courts.

In a letter to state Sen. Mark Leno, D-San Francisco, CAOC leaders offer a “plan of action” that calls on courts “to spend down a substantial portion” of their reserves and to accept any special funds that may pay for operations of the complex courts. In exchange, CAOC would consider “all realistic fee adjustments” to aid courts statewide.
