In a dramatic turnaround, San Francisco Superior Court leaders announced today that they will accept an aid package from the Administrative Office of the Courts similar to one they dismissed as inadequate last Friday.

Presiding Judge Katherine Feinstein said the AOC’s emergency funding deal will provide her court with $2.5 million plus an existing $650,000 grant to partially fund the complex litigation calendar. The agreement also requires the court to draw down $2.5 million from its reserves, said Ronald Overholt, the interim administrative director of the Administrative Office of the Courts.
