The court of appeals affirmed a judgment of the district court. The court held that a defendant’s conviction for shipping and receiving firearms through interstate commerce while using a controlled substance did not violate the Second Amendment.

Kevin Dugan illegally grew and sold marijuana. Dugan also smoked marijuana regularly. When law enforcement officers responded to a report of domestic violence at Dugan’s home, his marijuana operation was discovered and Dugan was arrested. Dugan also had a business of dealing in firearms.
