Now that Gov. Jerry Brown has made his first judicial appointment — tapping Goodwin Liu for the high court — he can turn his attention to the courts of appeal and trial courts.
The appeal court with the biggest hole is San Jose’s Sixth District, which will be down two of its seven jurists by the end of the month.
