SAN FRANCISCO — Santa Clara-based Extreme Networks Inc. has defeated patent infringement claims by rival Enterasys Networks Inc. in Wisconsin federal court.

After a five-day trial, jurors in the Western District of Wisconsin found on Friday that Extreme Networks, which designs networks for mobile devices, had not infringed a patent owned by Enterasys Networks and related to improving the flow of information across a network.
