Merger talks between McKenna Long & Aldridge and Luce Forward Hamilton & Scripps are well under way, Luce Chairman Kurt Kicklighter confirmed Monday. But no agreement has been signed and the two firms haven’t held partnership votes.
A few years ago, the 145-attorney Luce Forward had its sights set on becoming a California-wide firm with brand recognition reaching well beyond its San Diego roots. But with suitors coming out of the woodwork in the past year, the firm has reconsidered its strategy, Kicklighter said.
