SAN FRANCISCO — Attorneys from Perkins Coie in Palo Alto, Los Angeles and Seattle represented Microsoft Corp. in its acquisition of San Mateo-based VideoSurf Inc.

VideoSurf, founded by four Israeli entrepreneurs, is an online video search engine that Microsoft plans to integrate into its Xbox game system. Terms of the deal weren’t disclosed, but the Israeli financial daily Calcalist reported the price was $70 million. The Perkins Coie team was led by Palo Alto M&A partner Scott Joachim, who heads the firm’s California private equity practice, along with associates Matthew Stewart and Justin Moon.
