The First Appellate District dismissed an appeal. The court held that because a father’s claim of error as to the dependency court’s findings regarding his involvement in conditions leading to a dependency could not result in a reversal of the dependency court’s jurisdictional orders, which were also based on the unchallenged misconduct of the mother, or any other meaningful relief, it lacked jurisdiction to entertain his appeal.

Infant I.A. was detained at birth after she tested positive for cocaine. The Alameda County Social Services Agency asserted dependency jurisdiction based on I.A.’s mother’s alleged abuse of drugs and I.A.’s father’s alleged history of domestic violence and other crime.
