For ten years, San Francisco maintained that former technology contractor Cobra Solutions had defrauded it in a multimillion dollar kickback scheme. By the time closing arguments were presented this past week, the damages had shrunk to tens of thousands.
“It should have never gotten this far,” one juror said Wednesday, after voting to award the city just $24,000.
