SAN FRANCISCO — Two law firms hit with sanctions stemming from a questionable bankruptcy filing on behalf of a loan-servicing company found no relief at the Ninth Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals on Tuesday.

The court said it lacked jurisdiction to examine sanctions against Bryan Cave, New York bankruptcy boutique Klestadt & Winters and loan servicer-turned debtor Silar Advisors, because the order was not final and didn’t meet various exceptions to the rules that require the order to be final to appeal.
