The Second Appellate District affirmed an order awarding costs, including expert witness fees, to a prevailing defendant. The court held that the Elder Abuse and Dependent Adult Civil Protection Act could not preclude by implication an award of costs, including expert witness fees, otherwise awardable to a prevailing defendant under Code of Civil Procedure §§998 and 1032.
