Judiciary leaders on Tuesday unplugged the original plans for the Court Case Management System, scrapping a decade-old vision for connecting California’s 58 trial courts.
Citing a lack of money and the resulting political blowback, the Judicial Council voted to “wind down” the project and let individual courts launch their own systems or salvage parts of the controversial project.
