SAN FRANCISCO — A crowd estimated at 500 people gathered outside City Hall on Wednesday to add their voices to those of Attorney General Kamala Harris, former state Supreme Court Justice Carlos Moreno and others demanding the restoration of funding for local trial courts. About 30 local judges stood by to observe the rally, which was organized by the Bar Association of San Francisco.

“We’re so far past [cutting] the fat,” BASF President Kelly Dermody told the crowd from the steps of City Hall. “We’re at the marrow of the bone.”
