SAN FRANCISCO — Apple Inc. will have to face a proposed class action over claims it collected customers’ personal information, without permission, from applications used on their iPhones.

But U.S. District Judge Lucy Koh in San Jose said Thursday she would dismiss the federal claims against Apple, and all the claims against 22 co-defendants in the suit, which includes Google Inc., Yelp Inc., Groupon Inc. and The New York Times Co. She has not yet issued an order.
