SAN FRANCISCO Carrier IQ Inc., the Mountain View company under fire for its software that allegedly tracks smartphone users without their knowledge, has hired a new general counsel and chief privacy officer, the company announced Tuesday
Not surprisingly, one of Magnolia Mansourkia Mobley’s primary responsibilities will be broadening and intensifying Carrier IQ’s consumer privacy efforts. Mobley had been chief privacy counsel at Verizon Communications Inc., where she developed privacy compliance programs and consumer privacy policies.
