SAN FRANCISCO — A Superior Court judge Wednesday dismissed all but one claim from two suits brought against the city by local law firms that objected to a voter-approved payroll tax on partner profits.

S.F. Judge Harold Kahn made similar rulings earlier in the year in related cases, so the ruling against Sideman & Bancroft and Shartsis Friese was expected, said deputy city attorney James Emery.
