SAN FRANCISCO — The Second District Court of Appeal seems to like Scott Howard’s suit against television star Lisa Kudrow more than the Los Angeles Superior Court does.

Twice the superior court has blocked Kudrow’s former personal manager from suing her for 5 percent of the earnings she still generates from “Friends” even after firing him in 2007. And twice now the appellate court has reinstated the suit, ruling that separate trial judges have improperly excluded expert testimony on compensation in the talent management industry.
