SAN FRANCISCO Four proposed class actions against LinkedIn Corp. related to a June security breach were consolidated Wednesday by U.S. District Judge Edward Davila.
Plaintiffs filed the suits in the Northern District, each claiming damages of $5 million after Russian hackers stole nearly 6.5 million user passwords on LinkedIn and posted them online. LinkedIn confirmed the hacking on June 6 and urged users to change their passwords.
