Sidley’s pro bono efforts in California are headed by partners Michael Rugen in San Francisco and Frank Broccolo in Los Angeles. In the past 12 months, Sidley attorneys contributed almost 95,000 hours to pro bono projects. Firmwide, attorneys are strongly encouraged to devote a significant amount of time to pro bono matters.

There are three firmwide initiatives that drive Sidley’s pro bono work: the Capital Litigation Project, the Political Asylum and Immigrants’ Rights Project, and the Veterans Benefit Project.
