SAN FRANCISCO — Attorneys from Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati are helping entrepreneur Elon Musk take his next gamble, this time on solar energy.

Partner Steven Bernard and special counsel Alexander Phillips are representing SolarCity Corp., a developer of rooftop solar-power systems chaired by Musk, in its upcoming initial public offering. The Foster City company filed to go public Friday, saying it plans to raise up to $201.3 million, without giving a price range.
