SACRAMENTO — James Wheaton is getting a lot of online looks these days, but it’s probably not the sort of attention the Oakland environmental attorney wants.

Opponents of Proposition 37, the ballot initiative that would require labeling of genetically engineered food, are featuring a less than glamorous black-and-white photo of Wheaton in campaign ads popping up on the Internet.
