SAN FRANCISCO Reed Smith has hired global regulatory enforcement partner Tracy Genesen from Kirkland & Ellis for its San Francisco office.
Genesen, who has fielded trial and appellate work at the state and federal levels during 23 years in practice, will start work in the firm’s global regulatory enforcement group next week. Although she has advised airline, energy, software and health care clients, Genesen is best known for her work on behalf of the alcoholic beverage industry. She has emerged as a point person for the wine industry on constitutional questions stemming from the interstate sale and distribution of alcoholic beverages and other issues.
