SAN FRANCISCO Robert Mittelstaedt’s time as partner in charge of Jones Day’s San Francisco office is up.
The long-time litigator turned over the reins to employment partner Aaron Agenbroad at the start of the year because firm policy bars lawyers from holding formal leadership positions after turning 65. In his new role overseeing California litigation practices, an informal position created for him, Mittelstaedt, 65, will coordinate the work of litigators across the firm’s five offices in the state and spearhead lateral recruiting.
