The court of appeals affirmed a district court judgment in part, reversed in part, and remanded the action for further proceedings. The court held that the “danger exception” to recognition of qualified immunity precluded summary judgment in favor sheriff’s deputies who were sued for increasing a gunshot victim’s pre-existing danger by temporarily preventing her ambulance from departing to a location where she could receive more advanced care.
