Attorneys at Fenwick & West scored $2.55 million for the $80.8 million initial public offering of smart grid service provider Silver Spring Networks Inc.
The company sold 4.75 million shares at $17, the midpoint of its proposed price range. It had initially planned to sell just 3.7 million shares, but boosted the total at the last minute. The stock opened up almost 30 percent Wednesday, the first day of trading.
