SAN FRANCISCO Two years ago, a federal judge slashed $2,399 from a paralegal’s fee request in a massive gang prosecution.
The paralegal, whose work was funded by the Criminal Justice Act, turned to state labor regulators. They went after the attorney who brought her into the case, S.F. criminal defense lawyer Geri Green.
