Reed Smith has named Raymond Cardozo as the new managing partner in San Francisco. Cardozo, who replaces David Thompson, the integration partner in the firm’s new Houston office, focuses on commercial appellate matters, including commercial licensing/intellectual property, financial services, products liability and mass torts, and employment discrimination. He received his J.D. from UC-Berkeley School of Law in 1994.

Taking Cardozo’s place as practice group leader of the firmwide appellate group is Paul Fogel, who returned to Reed Smith in 2011 after nearly two years as an Alameda County Superior Court judge. He graduated from UCLA School of Law in 1976.
