SAN FRANCISCO Cedric Chao, a litigator specializing in cross-border disputes, has jumped from Morrison & Foerster to DLA Piper’s San Francisco office.
His move, effective Monday, ended a 30-year run at MoFo, where he co-chaired the international litigation and arbitration practice. Chao, who serves on the ICC Commission on Arbitration, said he was drawn to DLA Piper by its global reach. While MoFo is also a global firm, Chao said the move to DLA allows him to expand his work in the Middle East, Latin America and Eastern Europe.
