SAN FRANCISCO — A corporate partner has jumped from Gunderson to Goodwin Procter.

David Van Horne Jr., who advises emerging companies and venture capital firms, joined the San Francisco office of Goodwin Procter on Monday. Van Horne will prove helpful as the firm strives to grow in the Bay Area by deepening its work in private equity and emerging companies and capitalizing on the synergies between the practices, said Bradley Bugdanowitz, chairman of the San Francisco office.
