SAN FRANCISCO — The State Bar Court has recommended that a Beverly Hills attorney be disbarred for diverting $400,000 in interest on mortgage-backed investments he was hired to hold in escrow. (He was previously hit with a $60 million default judgment over his failure to return the investment itself).

Jon Divens, 57, has 30 days to appeal the suspension of his license before the state Supreme Court finalizes the bar’s recommendation.
