SAN FRANCISCO Looking beyond its mainstay labor and employment practice, Seyfarth Shaw has minted a new real estate partner in San Francisco.
James O’Brien joined the firm this month from Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher, where he was of counsel. Although the chance to make partner was enticing, O’Brien emphasized that he joined Seyfarth to build. With O’Brien on board, Seyfarth has four real estate partners in San Francisco and is eager to hire more, the office’s managing partner, Nick Geannacopulos, said. "Being on the ground floor of that is exciting," O’Brien said.
