SACRAMENTO – Governor Jerry Brown on Thursday named two new judges to the Santa Clara County Superior Court while moving a veteran jurist from her Alameda County courtroom to the Monterey County Superior Court bench.

Sunil Kulkarni and Lori Pegg were named to the trial court in Santa Clara County. Palo Alto resident Kulkarni has served as senior counsel in the University of California, Office of the General Counsel's litigation group since 2011. Prior to that, Kulkarni worked for 13 years at Morrison & Foerster, starting as an associate in 1998 and leaving as a litigation partner in the firm's Palo Alto office.
