Q: Can you tell me the scope of your duties on the bench?
A: I am a juvenile-court judge in my current assignment. I’ve been in this assignment for a little over three years, and I preside over juvenile dependency and juvenile delinquency cases. The scope of my duties is to hear those cases, to make the decisions to resolve cases, to go to trial if needed. That is generally the scope of my work.
