Greenberg Traurig added Alejandro Ruiz as a partner in its tax practice in the San Francisco office. Ruiz, who had been a partner at Kirkland & Ellis, focuses on the tax aspects of business transactions, including domestic and cross-border mergers, acquisitions, buyouts, recapitalizations and debt and equity restructurings. He received his J.D. from Harvard Law School in 2006.

Gregory Rougeau has joined Greenfield Sullivan Draa & Harrington as a partner in the firm’s San Francisco office. He joined from Manasian & Rougeau, also located in San Francisco, where he was a founding partner. Rougeau specializes in commercial bankruptcy, insolvency and workouts, collections and commercial litigation. He is a 1996 graduate of Marshall-Wythe School of Law at the College of William and Mary.
