The San Francisco firm Freeland Cooper & Foreman added Thea Beatie Eliot, formerly of the Law Office of Thea Beatie Eliot in Larkspur, as senior counsel. Eliot will continue to focus her practice on trust and estates, business planning and tax. She earned her J.D. from Seattle University School of Law.

Geoffrey Etnire left Nossaman to join Venable as a partner in the firm’s new San Francisco office. He represents developers, landowners and investors in the acquisition, sale and leasing of real estate, but he has a particular focus guiding clients through government and environmental approvals. He graduated from Stanford Law School in 1973.
