SAN FRANCISCO — Ruling over protests from its counsel at Quinn Emanuel, U.S. District Chief Judge Claudia Wilken has entered a permanent injunction against website translation company MotionPoint Corp.
In an order issued Friday afternoon, Wilken barred the company from making or selling products that infringe claims of a patent held by its rival, Latham & Watkins client TransPerfect Global Inc. This summer a jury found that MotionPoint violated TransPerfect’s patent and awarded $1 million in damages.
