Staring down a pair of massive cartel investigations, Chungwa Picture Tubes turned to Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher to strike settlements that saved the company.
Gibson antitrust lawyers have guided the Taiwanese manufacturer through a legal odyssey that began in 2007, when Chungwa was subpoenaed as part of the global LCD cartel investigations. Soon after, Gibson attorneys learned that their client was also accused of price-fixing in its other line of business, cathode ray tubes. The company’s predicament was exacerbated by its bottom line, partner Joel Sanders said.
