SAN FRANCISCO — Buoyed by a successful initial public offering, San Jose’s Nimble Storage Inc. is striking back at allegations it conspired to steal business secrets from rival NetApp Inc.

In a motion, Nimble’s lead attorney Patrick Premo of Fenwick & West calls a suit filed by NetApp in U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California legally flawed and an obvious effort to hobble a flourishing competitor.
