SACRAMENTO — On the same day the Obama administration unveiled its cybersecurity framework for minimizing data theft, state lawmakers suggested legislation cracking down on consumer information theft may be in the works.
The Assembly Judiciary and Banking committees on Wednesday released their agenda for the Feb. 18 hearing reviewing the much-publicized recent breaches involving Target and Neimen Marcus. Among the topics for discussion: “How, if at all, should California law in this area be updated?”
