SAN FRANCISCO — About 100 lawyers, coders and designers are slated to gather this weekend in San Francisco to brainstorm ways technology can solve problems in the legal industry.
The legal tech hackathon, organized by five current and former UC-Hastings College of the Law students, will take place at Airbnb’s downtown headquarters. It’s the first legal technology conference for the Startup Weekend brand. Participants will form teams to address access to justice, development and implementation of legal tech tools, legal education and open-source law. As of Tuesday, 65 legal professionals and law students, 20 coders and 5 designers have signed up to participate.
