Fenwick & West helped its top-tier corporate clients in big-money raises. A team led by Mountain View partners Daniel Winnike and David Michaels and San Francisco partner William Hughes advised longtime client Cisco Systems in a $8 billioni offering of senior unsecured notes, a deal so successful that Forbes said “demand outstripped supply by almost 2.5 times despite the low premiums on offer.”
Another loyal client, Facebook, turned to a team led by Mountain View partners Gordon Davidson and Jeffrey Vetter and Seattle partner James Evans for a $3.8 billion follow-on public offering. The company priced 70 million shares of its Class A common stock at $55.05 per share, with the company selling about 27 million shares and founder Mark Zuckerberg selling more than 41 million.
