SAN FRANCISCO — A new suit filed in the Northern District of California accuses seven California animation studios of conspiring to fix their employees’ wages at yearly “salary council” meetings.
Executives from the competing studios, including Pixar, Lucasfilm Ltd. and DreamWorks Animation SKG Inc., met regularly over dinner and drinks to exchange wage information and set caps on industry salaries, according to the antitrust class action filed Monday by Cohen Milstein Sellers & Toll.
