SAN FRANCISCO — Tessera Technologies Inc. is trying to stop a Taiwan-based semiconductor company from pulling a Winklevii.

San Jose-based Tessera says Advanced Semiconductor Engineering Inc. is trying to back out of a $30 million settlement agreement. Just as Cameron and Tyler Winklevoss were bound by their 2008 settlement with Facebook Inc., the company argues in an Oct. 20 filing, so must ASE respect the terms it negotiated in February ending eight years of litigation.
