SAN FRANCISCO — A patent suit targeting Sony’s PlayStation video games has turned nasty right out of the box.

Sony Computer Entertainment America and its attorneys at Quarles & Brady and DLA Piper moved for Rule 11 sanctions last week against a Florida-based patent assertion entity, just two months after the case was transferred to the Northern District of California and before the first case management conference here.
